Just a few weeks after the market launch of the new BMW X1, the all-electric model variant of the compact Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) will hit the road for the first time in November 2022. Together with the BMW iX1 xDrive30 there will also be two plug-in hybrid models and two other variants of the new BMW X1 with a conventional combustion engine drive were introduced. BMW X1 and BMW iX1: Consistent electrification in a new variety.
The BMW iX1 xDrive30 is the brand's first all-wheel drive electric vehicle in the premium compact segment. With it, the BMW Group is consistently continuing the model offensive in the area of purely electric mobility and is making locally emission-free driving pleasure attractive to broad target groups. Two highly integrated e-drive units on the front and rear axles generate a joint output that, including a temporary boost, amounts to 230 kW/313 hp. The system torque is 494 Nm. The BMW iX1 xDrive30 accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds. Its range, determined in the WLTP test cycle, is between 396 and 440 kilometers.
BMW i4 eDrive35: New entry-level engine for the all-electric Gran Coupé.
Also in November 2022, the BMW i4 model family will have another member. The BMW i4 eDrive35 (combined power consumption according to WLTP: 18.7 – 15.8 kWh/100 km; CO 2 emissions: 0 g/km; figures according to NEDC: – ) is the new entry-level model in the all-electric Gran Coupé range in the premium segment of the middle class. The third model variant also features fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology. A highly integrated drive unit with 210 kW/286 hp and a maximum torque of 400 Nm drives the rear axle and enables acceleration from zero to 100 km/h in 6.0 seconds.

Its high-quality standard equipment includes, among other things, the latest generation of BMW iDrive, developed on the basis of BMW Operating System 8, including the BMW Curved Display and the BMW Live Cockpit Plus, including the BMW Maps navigation system.

It is powered by a 1.5 liter three-cylinder petrol engine that generates a maximum output of 90 kW/122 hp and a maximum torque of 230 Nm. As standard, the power of the engine is sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed Steptronic transmission with double clutch. The new BMW 216i Active Tourer accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 10.3 seconds.
