The heart of this all-wheel drive super sports car is the Brabus ROCKET 900 V8 biturbo engine with a displacement increase to 4.5 liters and a high-performance turbocharger system. After the modification, the eight-cylinder delivers a peak output of 662 kW / 900 PS (888 hp) and a maximum torque of 1,250 Nm (922 lb-ft), which is limited to 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft) in the vehicle. The driving performance of the super sports car is on par with thoroughbred sports cars: the BRABUS 900 SUPERBLACK catapults itself from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. Depending on the selected tyre/wheel combination, the top speed is electronically limited to 310 or 330 km/h (192 or 205 mph).
In order to achieve the 212 kW / 288 hp (284 hp) increase in output compared to the standard engine, which delivers 450 kW / 612 hp (603 hp), the turbocharger was also redesigned. Two special Brabus turbochargers with a larger compressor unit and a special core assembly with reinforced axial bearings generate a peak charge pressure of 1.4 bar. A pair of Brabus BoostXtra valves provide a rousing blow-off sound when the driver takes their foot off the accelerator. Since such a powerful engine also needs more air to breathe, visible carbon air intakes are integrated into the radiator grille on the left and right. The fuel supply is also adjusted accordingly with three special high-pressure pumps. The Brabus 900 engine cover made of red visible carbon gives the V8 the finishing touch.
Technology partner MOTUL supplies the high-tech lubricants for the entire drive train. The performance values of the Brabus 900 SUPERBLACK are outstanding: it already achieves its peak output of 662 kW / 900 hp (888 hp) at a low 6,200 rpm. Equally unrivaled is the gigantic peak torque of 1,250 Nm, which is already available at a low 2,900 rpm. In the vehicle, this value is electronically limited to 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft) to protect the drive train. As a result, the all-wheel drive super sports car is able to deliver the performance of a thoroughbred sports car. The four-wheel drive SUV, which weighs around 2.6 tons, accelerates from a standing start to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. Depending on the selected tyre/wheel combination, the top speed is electronically limited to 310 or 330 km/h (192 or 205 mph). In addition, the five-door fascinates above all with its outstanding acceleration power at any speed.
