Race 11 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship on Saturday was abandoned early due to a sudden heavy downpour that flooded the Brooklyn Street Circuit and caused a pile-up at the front of the field. With seven and a half minutes left on the clock, the race control decided not to restart. Pascal Wehrlein (GER/car number 94) finished sixth in his Porsche 99X Electric, his teammate André Lotterer (GER/car number 36) did not finish in the points in 16th place. In the drivers' standings of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, Pascal Wehrlein is ninth after eleven of 16 races with 63 points, André Lotterer is tenth with 61 points. In the team classification, the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E team is sixth with 124 points.
After reaching the semi-finals in qualifying on the 2.320-kilometer Brooklyn Street Circuit, Wehrlein started the race from fourth on the grid. With his Porsche 99X Electric, he kept in touch with the front runners over the entire distance – until the race was stopped with 7:35 minutes to go due to heavy rain. André Lotterer had to start from 17th place on the grid and was temporarily able to improve to eleventh place. After the race was stopped, he ended up without any points. According to the regulations, the position of the race one lap before the red flag was used for the evaluation.
