The battle for the title in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland is still going to be exciting: Larry ten Voorde (Netherlands / Team GP Elite) celebrated his third win of the season in the Autodromo Nazionale Monza on Saturday, taking over the championship lead. “I was able to win the last two races here in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and that's why I traveled confidently. At the start I made it into the tight chicane ahead of Laurin Heinrich, that was the decisive factor, ”said ten Voorde. In the seventh round of the DTM season, Laurin Heinrich (Germany / Van Berghe Huber Racing) and Porsche Junior Ayhancan Güven (Turkey / Phoenix Racing) finished on the podium in their 510 hp Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. Carlos Rivas (Black Falcon Team Textar) has been in the record books of the German Carrera Cup since Saturday. The Luxembourger recorded his 35th victory in the ProAm standings across all seasons. Rivas overtook Rolf Ineichen (Switzerland), the most successful ProAm driver to date.
A special run awaits the drivers and teams on Sunday: The Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland is celebrating its anniversary and is holding the 350th race. The eighth race of the season starts at 4:15 p.m. local time and will be broadcast live on the German free TV broadcaster Sport1.
