Ram 1500 Wins MotorTrend’s 2025 Truck of the Year®.

After weeks of extensive testing, the Ram 1500 has been named MotorTrend’s 2025 Truck of the Year®, with editors awarding the vehicle high scores in every competing category.
The performance of the 3.0-liter Hurricane Straight-Six Turbo engine, which delivers up to 540 horsepower, played a significant role in the evaluation and scoring. MotorTrend editors also praised the wide variety of trim levels customers can choose from, from the opulence of the Tungsten to the unmatched off-road capability of the RHO.

Ram has won the prestigious award for the seventh time. Seven times, 2010, 2013, 2014, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2025, since it became a standalone brand in 2009.
MotorTrend’s “Of the Year” awards recognize the best vehicles that represent exceptional value, class-leading performance and impact on the automotive scene. This award is one of the most coveted in the automotive industry and represents the pinnacle of an extremely competitive segment.

Truck of the Year contenders first undergo MotorTrend’s full battery of tests at a professional automotive testing facility to evaluate virtually every aspect of each vehicle, then are evaluated on real-world roads loaded, empty and while towing, as well as in a world-class off-road facility, before a winner is selected.
Complementing the powertrain’s capabilities, the Ram 1500’s class-leading ride and handling is delivered by a segment-exclusive, multi-link independent rear suspension with available air suspension. The most technologically advanced Ram 1500 ever offers a host of cutting-edge features incorporated into a segment-leading interior, including the state-of-the-art Uconnect 5 system with a new 14.5-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch passenger display, a head-up display and an ultra-premium 23-speaker Klipsch Reference audio system. Active safety systems include hands-free Active Driver Assist, ParkView rear backup camera with dynamic grid lines, electronic stability control (ESC) with electronic roll mitigation and six standard airbags, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, Ready Alert Braking and Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning-Plus.
