The best of 1000 Miglia 2021.
21-06-2021 21:21 - EVENTS
The exceptional 1000 Miglia 2021 ended under the Alfa Romeo banner.
From Brescia to Brescia, from Wednesday to Saturday: a circle has closed and the days have flown by. Like every time something memorable happens, time runs very fast. And the circle that has closed truly represents perfection, completeness: it is the emblem of continuity. The same continuity that characterizes the almost century-old relationship between Alfa Romeo and the 1000 Miglia: the brand holds the record for victories in the competition, eleven between 1927 and 1957, and in this edition Alfa Romeo was again the most represented car manufacturer, with 50 cars competing, and above all the winning house. In fact, the 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Super Sport of the Villa Trasqua team, driven by the duo Vesco-Salvinelli, climbed the top step of the podium.
All the historic Alfa Romeos entered by the Heritage department, who completed the race, received applause. The four jewels of the historic collection of the Alfa Romeo Historical Museum were led by exceptional crews, including Stellantis Chairman John Elkann with his wife Lavinia Borromeo on board the 1900 Super Sprint. Stronger than some technical drawbacks the multi-titled Giovanni Moceri and Daniele Bonetti on the Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 Super Sport, and the enthusiastic Alberto Vassallo and Giovanni Bianco of the digital Car & Vintage platform on the very rare 2000 Sportiva. Finally, the Guest Car 1900 Sport Spider with Roberto Giolito, Head of Heritage, and the TV presenter Camila Raznovich.
385 historic cars at the start, 341 at the finish, 1,719.81 kilometers, 4 days of driving, over 200 municipalities, 7 regions. These are the numbers of the 1000 Miglia 2021, always in the name of beauty and elegance. An authentic spot in the most fascinating Italy, which enhances creativity, which honored Verdi's music, which promotes art, culture and craftsmanship, which pampers its guests with good food and the quality of living in harmony with nature.
