After the successful market launch of the new Cayenne in spring 2023, Porsche is crowning the extensively revised third generation of the successful SUV with a new top model. As before, the most powerful Cayenne is a plug-in hybrid. In the successor to the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid, Porsche has upgraded the hybrid technology in several ways and, in particular, significantly increased the electric range and performance. Both the suitability for everyday use and the driving dynamics qualities benefit from this. An electric motor with an output of 130 kW (176 hp) supports the extensively further developed 441 kW (599 hp) four-liter V8 biturbo engine. Together, both units mobilize an impressive system output of 544 kW (739 hp) and a maximum torque of 950 Nm . The performance of the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid fully lives up to its claim as a top model: the new Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid manages the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds . The top speed is 295 km/h.
Compared to its predecessor, the new Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid offers a significantly greater purely electric range while at the same time reducing charging times. The increased capacity of the high-voltage battery installed under the loading floor to 25.9 kWh enables a purely electric range of up to 82 km (EAER City). The new 11 kW onboard charger shortens the charging time on a suitable wallbox or charging station to less than two and a half hours despite the increased capacity of the HV battery.
The new Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid models feature an adaptive air suspension with new 2-chamber 2-valve technology as standard. This means that the rebound and compression stages of the dampers can be changed independently of each other. This technology increases comfort and driving safety in equal measure, allowing an even greater range between the Comfort and Sport Plus suspension characteristics. The chassis combines confident handling during dynamic cornering with comfort-oriented behavior in slow driving situations and the greatest possible support against pitching and rolling movements. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) is also standard on the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid. Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) and rear-axle steering are available as options.
